Arieh Girondí presents the Ledor Vador Foundation and its main objectives in Mallorcadiario

The president of the Ledor Vador Foundation, Arieh Girondí, has given an interview to Mallorcadiario in which he presents the project, its objectives and the mission behind the creation of this new cultural organisation in Mallorca.

Ledor Vador, a Hebrew expression meaning ‘from generation to generation’, was established with the aim of promoting, researching and disseminating Jewish culture linked to Mallorca and the Balearic Islands, approaching it through fields such as history, art, literature and music.

During the interview, Girondí particularly emphasises the Foundation’s inclusive nature, aimed at the whole of society interested in learning about a legacy that forms part of the islands’ history. He also discusses the ‘chueta’ phenomenon, intercultural dialogue and some of the current challenges relating to anti-Semitism and its spread via social media.

Among the Foundation’s next steps are its official launch in September, the organisation of European Jewish Culture Week in collaboration with Palma City Council, and the planning of new activities for the final quarter of 2026.

A conversation that offers a deeper insight into the origins and purpose of the Ledor Vador Foundation: to preserve, study and pass on a heritage that has been handed down from generation to generation over the centuries.
